This selection offers only a small portion of my writing, chosen for the clarity and completeness of their vision. I have always written in motion—often hurriedly, often illegibly—and while I have tried to preserve these works as they first appeared, it will take years to fully gather the writings produced in the seven years since the first book, and to shape the experiences of those years into form.
The poems collected here were written during the final three years of college and in the months following graduation. They are bound together by a singular impulse: the pursuit of an unfettered walk through boulevards and back streets, dirt roads and highway footpaths, across cities and oceans alike. At times, I have found that freedom completely, walking with nothing restraining the sole of the boot. At others, I have remained at the roadside, still longing for it
